How it Started
Where it
all began.
We were working two jobs each: DoorDash and babysitting on the side just to afford to “live” in Nashville, Tn. We were burning through our 20s just to cover rent and groceries. We weren’t living. We were just barely getting by.
The DoorDash runs are funny to look back on now. We’d do them side by side, laughing through the exhaustion, trying to turn something so draining into a little adventure. That was us making the best out of a situation that deep down, we both knew wasn’t enough. We lived terrified of getting sick or having a small accident because we knew what just one unexpected fee or bill could do to our bank account. Eventually, we got tired of being tired. About Us

Where it Took Us
One trip
became many.
We told ourselves that moving to Minneapolis would be the change we needed. A new city, being closer to family, a fresh start, all things that we told ourselves would change that empty feeling we had. Six months later, we were packing all over again.
We’d finally come to terms that we weren’t going to find what we were looking for in a new city; we needed a new life. We did something that at the time felt insane to everyone around us, and honestly to ourselves too. We took everything that we owned, stuffed it into a 5×5 storage unit, and got ourselves two one-way tickets out of the country. The idea to leave, the decision to go, and the actual move all happened in the same month. No more DoorDash, no more 9-5, no more stress. Just us, our suitcases, and our faith.

About Us — Tuakah and Anna are a married travel couple who left America to build a life abroad in Southeast Asia. We started in Nashville, Tennessee where we both worked two jobs just to get by. We DoorDashed our weekends away and lived terrified of an unexpected bill. We knew there had to be more to life in your 20s than working just to pay rent. We moved to Minneapolis for a fresh start, but six months later we packed everything into a 5×5 storage unit and bought one way tickets to Vietnam. We now document our life abroad across Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. This is our story — from Nashville to Da Nang, one adventure at a time.
